MGALOBLISHVILI KIPIANI DZIDZIGURI (MKD) AS COUNSEL OF RAS AL KHAIMA (UAE)

Mgaloblishvili Kipiani Dzidziguri (MKD) recently acted as local counsel to the Investment Authority of the Government of Ras Al Khaima (UAE) in connection with the sale of majority of shareholding in the largest Georgian sea port – Poti Sea Port Corporation - to APM Terminals, a company of Moller-Maersk group.
Legal advice provided by MKD's transactional team covered range of aspects of Georgian law and practice - contract, corporate, regulatory matters as well as signing of various related documentation.
Aforementioned deal represents one of the largest infrastructural transactions undertaken in Georgia over the past few years. APM Terminals, a leading terminal operator worldwide expects to invest in the Ports’ infrastructure around USD 100 million in the coming years.
